Your Natal Chart: A Mirror, Not a Fate
The sky at the moment of your birth can be a beautiful prompt for self-reflection, if we hold it lightly.
A natal chart is a map of the sky at the exact moment and place of your birth: where the Sun, Moon and planets stood against the twelve signs of the zodiac, which sign was rising on the eastern horizon, and how the planets related to one another. Our free natal chart calculates this from real astronomical data, the seven classical planets in their signs and houses.
As above, so below
Astrology rests on the Hermetic Principle of Correspondence: the patterns of the heavens mirror patterns within us. We approach the chart in exactly that spirit, as a mirror for reflection. It is not a prediction, and it never decides anything for you. Your thinking and choices remain the greatest influences on your life.
Sun, Moon and Rising
Three placements are a good place to start. The Sun speaks of your core purpose, the self you are invited to become consciously. The Moon describes your emotional needs and inner rhythm. The rising sign, or Ascendant, is the doorway through which you meet the world. Reading them together often brings a gentle sense of recognition.
Your elemental balance
Counting your planets by element, fire, earth, air and water, shows which qualities come naturally and which may need conscious practice. A chart rich in water might be deeply intuitive but need help with grounding; one rich in fire might begin things easily but need patience to finish them.
Transits and timing
The planets keep moving after we are born, and astrologers watch how today’s sky touches the birth chart. We read these transits as seasons for reflection: moments to work with, never to fear.
A practice
Cast your chart and read your Sun, Moon and Rising slowly. Note one word from each that feels true. Then ask: “Which of these qualities would I like to grow this month?”
