Understanding the Window of Re-consolidation

The "Window of Re-consolidation" is a brief period when your brain is open to changing old, stored memories. When a memory is recalled, there’s a short window where the brain can update or neutralize that memory

How it works in simple terms:

Recall: When you think about a memory, your brain brings it up like opening a file on a computer.


Window Opens: For a short time, that memory is flexible and can be changed or updated.

Re-consolidation: During this window, new information can be added to the memory, altering how it affects you.


Neutralization:  With MAP, we guide your brain to neutralize negative emotions attached to that memory, effectively updating it so it no longer causes stress or discomfort.

This process is gentle and effective, allowing you to release old, negative memories without having to relive them in detail. The result is a more peaceful and balanced state of mind.
